We are offering our Foster/Adoption Support Group again this year in Loxahatchee on Thursday evenings. We will begin on Thursday, September 13, 2019 (from 7-8:30pm), and we will continue on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. Our last class will be May 23, 2019. Please pass this along to ANY adoptive or foster parent seeking additional support. We are a warm group of foster/adoptive moms & dads who gather to glean wisdom and nuggets from each other about how to raise our kiddos well. Parents may come regularly or they may choose a few dates to attend. The group focus is on attachment, bonding, and the unique behaviors of our kiddos as well as how we can strengthen the relationship within the family. We seek out appropriate curriculum that is specific to the social, emotional and psychological needs of our foster/adoptive families. Childcare is available but MUST RSVP in advance. Please text Trish at 214-843-5322 to RSVP. Please text no later than the Wednesday prior to the meeting. This gives us time to find adequate childcare helpers. See the attached card for the specifics on the group. Here is our calendar for this "school year": September 13 & 27 October 11 & 25 November 8 & 29? December 13 (break until January) January 10 & 24 February 14 & 28 March 14 & 28 April 11 & 25 May 9 and 23 (**Then break for the summer.) We look forward to welcoming new attendees this year!
